Night is a time of replenishment for your skin. That’s why it’s super important to take care of the skin properly before bed. No, you can’t leave on that awesome eye makeup for the next day because that few hours you sleep with makeup on will take its toll. Every aspiring esthetician can tell you that it doesn’t matter how many wrinkle creams or acne medication you use if you do not wash your face properly, it will be obsolete. Your skin needs to breathe at night and the best way to do that is to simply wash your face.

Washing your face not only removes makeup, but bacteria, sweat, and dirt. At night, the skin produces oil. By not washing your face, you cause build up in your pores. This creates clogged pores, also known as pimples and blackheads.

It is important to create a routine every night using your favorite skincare products. Also, remember to be gentle with skin. Do not use anything abrasive that can cause inflammation and redness. No matter how exhausted you might be, wash your face. Your future self with thank you.
