Beauty Schools Give Back

It is so important to give back. There are so many people that have incredible talents, but do not have the means to achieve their full potential. Through philanthropic events, beauty schools are giving their students a chance to give back to their communities and inspire others to do that same.

Aveda Columbus Cares

Each month, Aveda Institute Columbus partners with a different local charity to raise money and awareness through their “Tip for a Cause” program. In lieu of a tip, Aveda Institute guests have the opportunity to donate to our cause of that month. Past organizations include Pets Without Parents, Choices, Sierra Club, Breast Cancer Awareness, Homeless Families Foundations and more! Aveda Institute Columbus has raised more than $390,000 for charity since they opened their doors in January 2004.

Remington College Prom Makeovers

The college’s 12 campuses have provided free prom night makeovers to more than 1,600 students in the first two years of the program. High school students can get a head-to-toe makeover at The Salon at Remington College before heading to prom this weekend free of charge.

Paul Mitchell “FUNraising” Campaign

Paul Mitchell’s “FUNraising” campaign has raised over $4.6 million for charitable organizations. Grassroots, dollar-by-dollar events like cut-a-thons, fashion shows, bake sales, and Casual for a Cause days have raised enough money to build two homes with Habitat for Humanity, along feed thousands of African orphans; and support the victims of AIDS, breast cancer, homelessness, hurricanes, abuse, and hundreds of other causes.

Have you participated in any of these charitable events? Let us know below!
